New Zealand has a rich and diverse
culture. Maori culture and traditions are extremely rich
and diverse. They include both traditional and
contemporary arts. Traditional arts, such as engraving,
weaving, rhetoric, tattooing, are practiced throughout the
country. Today, Maori cultural traditions also include
architecture, symphonic and contemporary music, theater
and cinema, fine arts and literature. Culture in New
Zealand, as elsewhere in the world, has another, informal
side. It is about the friendly, sincere and relaxed
attitude of the people who live there. And this is perhaps
one of the main characteristics that determine the image
of the country.
